(WHAS 11)--Lexington's Keeneland racetrack is getting a tax break from Kentucky for hosting the Breeders' Cup.

The Senate approved the tax break bill March 11.

The racetrack now exempt from the state's excise tax on certain bets.

It will cost the state one million in tax revenue, but supporters say the Breeders' Cup will generate more than that with tourist spending.

This is Keeneland's first time hosting the Breeders' Cup.
