LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The Kentucky Derby Museum has received a generous donation for its expansion.
Churchill Downs donated $100,000 toward the $6.5 million project Friday.
Construction will add new exhibit space, a new stable and event space.
The museum will remain open during the construction with the project expected to be complete in late October.
