All In The Family | Huber’s Family Farm, restaurant sold; stays in business

Officials with auctioning company Harritt Group, Inc. says the property sold for $2.7 million Saturday.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – After announcing it would be auctioning off some of its property early September, Joe Huber’s Family Farm and Restaurant will remain in business.

Officials with auctioning company Harritt Group, Inc. says the property sold for $2.7 million Saturday.

The restaurant and the 30-acres surrounding it were sold to Jenna Huber Clem and her husband.

She wanted to keep the property in her family.

Three other buyers including family friends of the Hubers including Samtech founder Sam Shine, who will lease the land he bought back to the family so that the farm would remain open.

The Harritt Group holds an auction at the Huber Family Farm in Starlight, Indiana.

The Harritt Group told WHAS11 News that everyone is happy with the results.

Joe Huber Jr. started the farm and tourist attraction 35-years ago.

The buyers are expected to finalize the purchase within 40 days.

The sale does not affect Huber's Winery and Orchard which are separate from the farm.
