This Kentucky restaurant is opening its first ghost kitchen

It's only available through DoorDash and Grubhub.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Agave & Rye, a modern tequila and bourbon hall, is opening its first ghost kitchen. 

Introducing: Lick My Chicken. 

Sticking true to its name, the menu offers a variety of chicken options such as chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, wings, and chicken burritos. For sides, they offer waffle fries, mac n' cheese, and funnel cake fries. They also offer an array of dipping sauces like their "trashy sauce" and "air spicy BBQ dip."

The menu is available between 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. throughout the week and between 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. on weekends -- only through DoorDash and Grubhub.

Ghost kitchens, also called micro-cloud kitchens or virtual kitchens, don’t offer dine-in services but are built to fulfill only online orders. The ghost kitchen concept emerged around the same time as the demand for restaurant meal deliveries started to rapidly increase. 

“Launching a ghost kitchen in our restaurants is an epic idea that we’ve long wanted to attempt,” Yavonne Sarber, founder of Epic Brands and Agave & Rye restaurants, said. “It just makes sense. We have amazing items on our menus in other Epic Brands menus across the country and utilizing our chef’s talents and downtime/off time during normal restaurant hours is not only smart business but allows our chefs to really flex their creative muscles and bring the community something that’s not only unique, but over the top delicious.”
