LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Let the countdown begin! We are less than a month away from the return of Waterfront Wednesday.
This year will be its 22nd season.
The free monthly concert series will take place on the last Wednesday of each month from April to September on the Big Four Lawn in Waterfront Park. The Big Four Lawn is located next to the Big Four Pedestrian and Bicycle Bridge. The lawn opens at 5 p.m., with music starting at 6 p.m.
This year's headliners include Phosphorescent, Pokey LaFarge, Paula Cole, Modern English, Matthew Sweet, and Dark Side of the Wall.

In addition to the music, there will be a kids area, called Waterfront KidsDay, that will feature hands-on activities for children and their families to partake in. Waterfront KidsDay will be open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. during each month’s show.
While Waterfront Wednesday is an all-ages event, event officials advise that there may be profanity or adult themes.
Outside drinks are not permitted on the premises; however, attendees can bring in their own food and there will be festival foods, local food trucks and a cash bar.
Coolers, glass, pets, and tents are also not permitted either. Officials said guests could bring a lawn chair.
