Baptist Health to pay employees to volunteer as poll workers for general election

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Baptist Health is paying its employees to volunteer as poll workers in Kentucky and Indiana for the general election on November 3.

Baptist Health is the state’s largest health system, with over 22,000 employees in Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

The request to volunteer came from employees according to Baptist Health. The majority of poll workers are senior citizens and they may not want to serve in this election due to health risks posed by COVID-19.
