LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Stunning police body camera video tells the story of a police shootout that left a robbery suspect dead at 29th and St. Xavier St. April 24.
Officers located a man matching the description of a man who had robbed a Metro PCS store.
The suspect, Demonjay Jordan, was shot by four officers in the Portland neighborhood when he pointed his weapon at police. Jordan was struck multiple times and later died at the hospital.
No officers were injured.
During a press conference April 25, LMPD released the body camera video from three the four officers involved. One officer was a detective and was not wearing a body camera.
Those four officers were identified as Kody Despain, Benjamin Dean, Joshua Weyer and Joseph Fox. They have all been placed on administrative reassignment for the remainder of the investigation.
