Two chances for snow this weekend

Snow possible early Saturday and Sunday
GFS Snow

After a couple of rounds of wintry weather we are experiencing a brief warm-up.  Unfortunately it is temporary and a couple of rounds of light snow will be possible this weekend.  A cold front sits to our west and will start to move in Friday.  We are mild again in the mid 40s but scattered rain showers are expected.  As temperatures fall through the overnight we have the potential for light snow into Saturday morning.

Snowfall accumulation is going to be minimal at best.  By the time we get cold enough most of the moisture will have cleared out.  Any snow showers will be spotty as well.  Three models are in pretty close agreement that snowfall amounts will not amount to more than a coating.

The next chance for snow will come late day on Sunday.  As of now this looks to have a better chance for accumulation but as of now we are expecting an inch or less.  Stay tuned as we get closer on Facebook, Twitter, WHAS11.com, and as always on WHAS 11.
