7 injured, 1 dead in 2 separate overnight shootings

Two shootings overnight have left seven people injured and one person dead.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) - Officers are investigating two separate overnight shootings that left one dead.

The first incident happened around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday. Louisville Metro Police responded to a call of a shooting in the 2100 block of Duncan St. When officers arrived, they reported finding a man who appeared to have been shot.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has yet to be released.

Then, at 3 a.m., there was a reported shooting at a nightclub in the 2900 block of W. Kentucky St. When officers arrived on the scene at Coles' Place, they reported finding four people with gunshot wounds. Those victims were transported to University Hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

A short time later, reports indicate two more victims transported themselves to University Hospital with gunshot wounds that are believed to have been sustained at the second shooting site. Those injuries are also believed to be non-life threatening.

A seventh victim who received a graze wound is reported to have refused medical treatment.

There are no suspects in either shooting. Officers are still investigating both incidents. If you have any information on these cases, you are urged to call police at 502-574-LMPD.
