LOUISVILLE, Ky.(WHAS11)--The fastest two minutes in sports meets the fastest cars in the Derby City this weekend and the demand to take them out on the track is taking off.
Jason Schmidt's one of the owners of Derby City Dream Cars, off Old Shepherdsville Road and Hikes Lane. The Hikes Lane Auto lot is home to 8 exotic and luxury cars available for rent and more are on the way.

"They're the finest cars in the world. We'll have them or we will get them," Schmidt said.
The demand for these cars has skyrocketed over the last couple of weeks as Louisville prepares for a weekend of speed and luxury. You can rent them for a few hours or a few days, or take them out on a closed course. Currently up for grabs: a Rolls Royce, Lamborghini Huracan, Ferrari 458, an Audi R8, Bentley Mulsanne and a Corvette Z06 and Viper.

"We'll teach you how to use them, how to understand them, so you get the most of what you spend with us," Schmidt said.
We took the Lamborghini for a test drive.
"It's just a rarity to have 600 horsepower of Italian car underneath you doing exactly as you say. Go fast or slow. It does it all. In style, I might add," Schmidt said.

Car rentals range from $595-1,095 a day. Derby City Dream Cars hope to have a McLaren on the lot in the next few weeks.
