LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A 45-year-old has died after a collision involving a motorcycle early Tuesday morning. May 22.
According to police, the operator of the motorcycle, identified by the Jefferson County Coroner's Office as Troy Blanton, was traveling eastbound on Fern Valley Road around 3 a.m. when he lost control and struck the curb. He suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is unclear what caused the crash. Officials say that speed may have been a factor.
The incident is under investigation by the LMPD Traffic Unit.
