PIKE CO., Ky. (WHAS11) -- A new reality show is coming to MTV this summer. It will feature a group of young adults from Eastern Kentucky.
The show is called 'Made in Kentucky' and is described as a docu-series that follows a rowdy group of friends in Elkhorn City and their “country shenanigans.”
Parts of the show were shot at Pike County's HillBilly Days. Citizens of Elkhorn are concerned it will give their city and the rest of Pike County a bad name.
The city's mayor has already banned parts of filming, saying the show will only embrace stereotypes of the town and not highlight any positives. He said he would be willing to fight filming in court if he had to.
