LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Deputy Coroner JoAnn Farmer has identified the man involved in a crash in downtown Louisville Monday afternoon.

Farmer said 24-year-old Kedren Lee died from gunshot wounds. Police said Lee sustained the wounds sometime before the crash.

The Louisville Metro Police Department said they are investigating Lee's death as a homicide.

According to police, the crash happened on Broadway between 9th and 10th Streets not too far from the Transit Authority of River City's (TARC) Union Station.

Police say three vehicles were involved: a black vehicle, a white pickup and another unidentified vehicle.

According to a witness, the black vehicle, driven by Lee, was weaving through traffic and ran a red light hitting the pickup head on.

Lee was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Farmer.

Alicia Smiley, a spokesperson for LMPD, said authorities have determined Lee sustained one or more gunshot wounds sometime prior to the collision. Authorities believe the shooting happened in the 600 block of South 16th Street and are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police said they questioned a man who was driving the third vehicle. They did not elaborate on his involvement.

LMPD said there are no suspects at this time.
