From snow to record cold temperatures! Snow showers will linger through this evening before tapering off. So how much snowfall did we pick-up overnight into this morning? We were right on target with what we had predicted! Take a look at our forecast below:
And here is what we got!
SDF picked up 2.9" for the day. That shatters the old record of 0.1" set back in 1951 and ties for the 6th snowiest November day.
Now the BIG story will be the bitterly cold temperatures! Temperatures will plummet into the teens overnight with wind chill values in some spots below zero! We may even break the record which is 13 set back in 1959.
Not much of a warm-up by afternoon. More record cold weather expected by afternoon with temperatures in the 20s! The current record is 25 set back in 1880. Make sure to bundle up throughout the day!
We will finally break out of this cold pattern with a gradual warm-up by the end of the week and into the weekend. Sunday temperatures will climb back to near normal - into the upper 50s!
