Mild temps to start the day - currently in the upper 50s and low 60s across most of the viewing area under partly cloudy skies. Cloud cover will increase throughout the day ahead of showers moving in this afternoon. A cold front slides through the region and stalls off to our south. What that means for us is that we'll continue to see showers Wednesday with the front nearby.
This front and a low pressure system moving through Thursday give us a better chance for more widespread showers and storms. We finally start to dry out as these systems push eastward on Friday.
As for big events around town this week... the Glimmer balloon race Thursday evening (8:30pm) may be rained out, but other races on Friday and Saturday should be spared!
Our pleasant forecast for Saturday will be great for anyone running the KDF mini/marathon. Temps will be in the low 50s for the start of the race at 7:30am and rise slowly into the upper 50s and low 60s as runners make their way around the city.
Sunday is now trending drier. We may see a few sprinkles overnight Saturday into early Sunday before mostly cloudy skies move in to end the weekend. Its looking like we'll start next week with dry conditions and warm temps!
TODAY: Partly cloudy with a few storms late. High: 77°. Wind: SW 10-20 mph.
TONIGHT: A few showers and storms. Low: 54°. Wind: W 10-15 mph.
