At least one person taken to hospital after crash in West End

The ramp from I-264E to I-64E was shut down during the morning commute on Friday. MetroSafe has confirmed that a child was taken to the hospital.

UPDATE: The crash accident has been cleared and all lanes are back open.

A serious accident was reported in the West End Friday morning. The crash happened at I-264E at I-64E near the ramp. Police had the ramp from I-264E to I-64E, as well as a portion of I-64E shut down as police investigated. Those lanes were reopened by 8:10 a.m.

There are few details available right now, but MetroSafe confirmed that at least one child was taken to the hospital with a police escort. MetroSafe also said that someone may have been ejected from a vehicle in the crash.
