I-71 back open in Oldham County after crashes

The crashes involved two semis. It is unclear if anyone was hurt.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — UPDATE: All lanes are back open on I-71.

Several lanes of I-71 were closed Thursday morning after two separate crashes.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, I-71 was shut down in both directions at the 14 mile-marker around 3 a.m. No spills were reported and officials couldn't say if anyone was hurt.

At 4:20 a.m. TRIMARC was reporting heavy traffic between Crestwood and Buckner.

TRIMARC estimated that the closure would last around 3 hours, but crews were able to open the interstate around 4:45 a.m.
