LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) officials announced two emergency closures on Interstate 64 starting Monday.

The first emergency closure on I-64 West is at the Grinstead overpass just after the Cochran Hill Tunnel. The right lane will be closed until noon on Wednesday as they reinforce the bridge.

The Grinstead Drive exit will remain open.

The other emergency closure is at the I-64 and I-265 interchange.

Starting Monday night, crews will be repairing a beam setting just west of the new I-265 overpass.

The new route drivers are being directed to take is Taylorsville Road and then back up to I-64.

This will cause delays, so KYTC said to plan for some extra time.
