35-year-old killed in crash on I-265 North near Taylorsville Road

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — One person is dead after a crash on I-265 North near Taylorsville Road Wednesday morning.

Louisville Metro police officers were called to the scene of the crash at around 8:50 a.m. A preliminary investigation found that the driver heading northbound on I-265 lost control of their SUV, hitting a traffic barrier.

Police said the SUV continued back into the northbound lanes, where it was hit by a work van. The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the work van was taken to UofL Hospital.

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the SUV driver as 35-year-old Kristopher Miles. The LMPD Traffic Unit is investigating.
