Kentucky football's Davonte Robinson injured, will miss season

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WHAS11) – The University of Kentucky Athletics announced Davonte Robinson, a junior safety, was injured on Tuesday.


He suffered an injury to his right quadriceps muscle.


Surgery will need to be done and Robinson will miss the football season.

Robinson, a Lexington native, played in all 13 games last season with three starting assignments. He made 42 tackles, including three for loss, and had four pass breakups and two fumble recoveries. He had a career-high nine tackles vs. Georgia.
