Kentucky primary voter guide: What you need to know on election day

The polls in Kentucky are open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on June 23.

FRANKFORT, Ky. — There's no question the coronavirus pandemic has changed the way we live day-to-day. The restrictions and guidelines to stop the spread are also changing how we will vote in the Kentucky Primary.

Where is my polling location?

Since many counties are only offering a single polling location due to the coronavirus pandemic, here's where you can vote.

Where can I get a ride to the poll?

On Election Day, June 23rd, TARC will provide a shuttle service from Union Station, 1000 W Broadway, to voting polls at the Kentucky Exposition Center.

This fare-free shuttle service will run every 30 minutes, beginning at 6 a.m. from Union Station and ending at 6:30 p.m. from the Expo Center. Routes 10 (Dixie BRT), 23, and the 99 all have direct stops at Union Station.

The Louisville Urban League has partnered with the Black Voters Matter Fund to provide rides to polling locations. Request a ride online or call 502-585-462 and select option 0.

Additionally, Louisville Urban League said voters can get free Lyft rides to polls in Louisville, Lexington, Hopkinsville, Elizabethtown and Alvaton. Riders can use the code KYVOTES.

You can register to vote online through the Board of Elections website.

Precinct location and legislative districts

Registered voters in Kentucky can obtain information about their precinct location and legislative districts by using the State Board of Elections Voter Information Center. Click on Voter Information to access.

Election Results

There are six ways to get election results on WHAS11:

  3. Click on the Election Results tab on the WHAS11 News site
  4. Check the WHAS11 Facebook page
  5. Check the WHAS11 Twitter page
  6. Watch WHAS11 News throughout the night for updates.

Voter Fraud

The office of the attorney general has opened a fraud hotline to report suspected law violations and voting irregularities. The hotline, 1-800-328-VOTE, will be answered live from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Primary Day.

Allegations of election law violations may include, but are not limited to, campaign violations, electioneering, bribery, election fraud, poll disruption, and the early release of voting results. Questions or complaints related to the number of polling locations in each county should be directed to the State Board of Elections by visiting elect.ky.gov.
