ROWAN CO., Ky. (WHAS11) -- Two Hollywood stars put money behind a Democratic candidate for county clerk in Rowan County. That candidate was denied a marriage license by incumbent Kim Davis.
Amy Schumer contributed $1,500 to David Ermold and Susan Sarandon donated $800.
Ermold faces three opponents in today’s race.
Davis, who refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples in 2015, switched party lines and is running for the seat at a Republican. She has no primary opposition and is not on the ballot.
