This weekend, there are some great deals on things you want and need. Invest in a robot vacuum you can control from your phone or a portable Bluetooth speaker for summer fun and save some money in the process. There are a lot of sales on Amazon every day, but they're not always on things that are worth buying. So we scoured Amazon to find the best deals on products that are actually worth your time.
1. Under $200: One of the best affordable smart robot vacuums
A robot vacuum that costs less than $200 and has a smartphone app? Yup. It exists thanks to a sale that knocks $70 off the regular price. You just need to use the coupon code "CXC8LZ5M" at checkout to get a big discount on the Ecovacs Deebot N79S. To be honest, you're not going to get a fancy app experience (it's basically just a digital version of the remote). But you can still start a cleaning cycle when you're still working at the office, which seem pretty dang luxurious.
We tested the predecessor (the N79) and it did pretty well at picking up dirt and debris, but had a longer than average cleaning time and wasn't too great with getting up onto high-pile carpet. The N79S has improvements, but it also went a step further and now includes Amazon Alexa compatibility. Imagine being able to tell your virtual assistant to clean your home...and have it work? The future is here!
2. Under $15: The miracle tub drain protector
If you haven't ever heard of the TubShroom, this is an exciting day for you. It's a little piece of silicone that you stick in your shower drain to collect all the hair that can cause disgusting clogs. It makes cleanup insanely easy. You literally just wipe the hair out with a paper towel (or your bare fingers if you're not squeamish) and pop it back in place. I bought one two years ago and it's still one of the most useful things I own. Right now you can save $2 and get it for $11 thanks to a Lightning Deal. But it ends at 3 p.m. EST if it doesn't sell out first. So go, go now and get one. It's not a huge discount, but I'd recommend this thing at full price as a great deal too.
3. Under $100: A highly rated mechanics tool set
Sick of overpaying your mechanic to perform routine maintenance? Find some YouTube videos and pick up this mechanic's tool set for 15% off. It's time to teach yourself the basics of keeping your vehicle running smoothly. This highly rated set has 170 pieces, from wrenches to ratchets to hex keys and all sorts of sockets. Reviewers love it because it has everything they need to get most jobs done.
4. Under $75: One of the most popular DNA kits
Listen, Father's Day is a few weeks away. Instead of half-assing a gift for Dad this year, get him something memorable: a DNA testing kit. He can spit into a tube, wait a few weeks, and get all sorts of insights into your family's ancestry. 23andMe is one of the most popular kits out there, and right now you can save 30% and get it for $69 instead of $100. You might find some long-lost relatives or learn that you've got ancestors from a place you never knew about.
5. Under $40: A perfectly sized microSD card
Running out of space on your phone, your tablet, your camera, or your Nintendo Switch can be the worst. So if you've been struggling with data management on your devices, maybe it's time to invest in a microSD card. SanDisk is the top name in memory cards, and right now you can get the 128GB micro SDXC UHS-I card for nearly its lowest price.
