LOUISVILLE, KY. (WHAS 11)--Since the election, there have been reports of hate speech and hate crimes across the nation and here in Kentucky.

Chris Hartman, the Director of the Fairness Campaign, tells WHAS he's actually seen an increase in volunteers to the program since the election.

He says Fairness campaign is looking for ways to combat racism and get back to peace.

Hartman says given the increase of involvement in the past several weeks and the Fairness Campaign will be holding a special event for volunteers Nov.15 at 5 p.m.

He says the group will continue to hold these meetings once a week after Thanksgiving.
