LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The man Metro Police say is responsible for a deadly shooting in the Park Hill neighborhood appeared before a judge on Thursday. The judge released Deandre Williams, 20, on home incarceration.

Williams is charged with murder in connection to the shooting of a 20-year-old man. The victim was found around 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Parkway Housing Complex on Brashear Drive.

Police have not yet what led to the shooting.

The victim was identified by family as Robert Leachman. Leachman's family told WHAS11's Shay McAlister what happened in Thursday's court appearance "is not justice. This is not fair."

Since Williams is on home incarceration, he will be living with his father in Shively and a no contact order was issued in this case.

According to the police report, Williams did give a Mirandized statement saying he intentionally shot and killed someone.

The judge said, " Even though he has confessed to shooting him, there are defenses."

The judge also said that police need to provide better information pertaining to this case.

The prosecutor did argue that although police gave little information on the case the information indicated he made a statement about purposely shooting and killing someone.

Williams will be back in court on Aug. 14.
