LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) -- Cleaning up the Derby City one eye-soar at a time. The sale of vacant properties in Louisville has skyrocketed in 2018.

The Louisville Metro Vacant & Public Property Administration closed on the sale of 125 vacant properties.

That's a 330 percent increase from the previous fiscal year. In the 2016-17 fiscal year, 29 sales were made.

Metro officials attribute the increase in sales to new sales programs.
