LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The family of a man killed in an apparent hit and run are still pleading for answers four years later.
Ryan Kinnion, 24, was found injured on River Road and later died from what the coroner ruled as a head injury – a result of what police said appeared to be a hit and run.
No one has been charged in Kinnion’s death and while time has passed, his family’s search for answers has not slowed.
Kinnion’s family gathered Sunday to celebrate what would have been his 28th birthday to remember a son, a brother, a man they say was unjustly taken from them.
His mother says an anonymous tip led police to her home to notify her of what happened.
“This is unfair, and we want closure – we want answers. Someone seen something. Someone knows something. I just want closure,” Osonna Shephard said.
Ryan's mother believes there is more to the story based on her son's injuries and the fact that his wallet and cell phone were missing.
Anyone with information is asked to call 574-LMPD.
