LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed in the Newburg neighborhood.
Officers responded to the 5700 block of Preston Highway around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
According to a preliminary investigation, police say a man was pushing a grocery cart east to west across Preston was struck by a car headed southbound.
The victim was injured and pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the victim was not in a crosswalk.
No charges are expected.
LMPD’s Traffic Unit is investigating.
