LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A big project is expected to begin soon to repair one of the city's largest sewer lines.

The pipe that runs along Main Street has had lots of problems over the years. A cave-in last August at Main and Hancock took nearly six weeks to prepare.

The pipe is roughly 60 years old and carries approximately 40 percent of Louisville's wastewater.

MSD is expected to release more information on this project June 15.
