Majority of River City FOP votes no confidence in chief

LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) – The River City FOP vote results are in and results from hundreds of Metro police officers, sergeants and detectives were asked to take a vote of confidence on the police chief and their safety while on the job.

LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) – The River City FOP vote results are in and results from hundreds of Metro police officers, sergeants and detectives were asked to take a vote of confidence on the police chief and their safety while on the job.

A total of 601 ballots were cast. The results were posted on the FOP’s Facebook page. On the question asking FOP members whether they have confidence in the leadership of the chief, 98-percent said no.

When asked to vote on whether the chief and his staff support the rank and file on the streets, 97-percent voted no and when asked whether there are enough officers to function effectively, 99-percent said no.
