Louisville Burger Week returns July 23-29

Starting on July 23, you can sample burgers at more than 20 local hotspots for the price of $5. The event runs through July 29.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) — Summer is in full swing, which means it's time for Louisville Burger Week!

After last year's successful inauguration with 20,000 burgers consumed in 2017, the Kentucky Beef Council is proud to bring the delicious event back for another round.

Starting on July 23, you can sample burgers at more than 20 local hotspots for the price of $5. The event runs through July 29.

Download the official Louisville Burger Week passport on their website and you can get stamps for every burger you try. Collect four stamps and you can be entered into a special grand prize drawing. If you collect 8 stamps, you could be eligible to win Drake's burgers for a year.

Burger choices range from "gourmet blends to off-menu specialties" and some locations even feature beer pairings. You can try the PB&J Burger at Bluegrass Burger, "The Heart Attack" from the Hub, or even a special dessert burger at Macaron Bar. The best part is every burger on the list will only set you back a few bucks. Plus, portions of the vendor and sponsor fees will go to support Dare to Care.

Louisville Burger Week isn't just about inexpensive meals - it's also about exploring new places and trying new things. "The idea is to get people to embrace the food, culture, and Louisville-love while getting them out to eat, drink, and try new places!"

You can share your experiences on social media by mentioning @louisvilleburgerweek on Instagram and Twitter, as well as using the hashtag #502BurgerWeek.
