LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) – Louisville Metro Police Department Chief Steve Conrad released a statement on Facebook on Dec. 15 that addressed the River City FOP vote of no confidence.

He said the union has a right to express their opinion but making the right decision on issues is not always viewed as the most popular thing.

Conrad went on to say he is confident in the decisions he made so far, thanked those who did vote on Wednesday night and wants to work to regain the voters’ confidence.

"I remain steadfast in my commitment to work with the men and women of the Louisville Metro Police Department to do all we can together to make Louisville a safer community," Conrad said, in part on Facebook.
