Free fishing in Indiana this Saturday

May 18 is one of the four days of the year Indiana residents can fish without a license.

For Indiana residents 18 and older, Saturday is one of the four days of the year fishing is free on public waters.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources has designated Saturday, May 18 a free fishing day in addition to the weekend of June 1-2. For more information on where to fish, visit the department's fishing map.

Residents can fish year-round with a $17 license.

Free fishing for Kentucky residents will also be the first weekend of June, June 1-2.
