Clark County judge, two other men charged in Indianapolis shooting at White Castle

Judge Andrew Adams and two other men are being charged following an Indianapolis shooting that injured Adams and another Clark County judge.

INDIANA (WHAS11) -- One Clark County judge and two other men are facing charges after a May 1 shooting in downtown Indianapolis. 

The Marion County Prosecutor announced Friday Clark County Judge Andrew Adams is facing the following charges two counts of battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, two counts of battery resulting in bodily injury, two counts of battery and disorderly conduct. 

That May 1 shooting injured two Clark County judges, Andrew Adams and Bradley Jacobs, who were in Indy for a judicial conference.

Witnesses said two men, 23-year-old Alfredo Vazquez and 41-year-old Brandon Kaiser, were involved in some sort of confrontation with Adams and Jacobs in the parking lot of a White Castle. The confrontation resulted in shots being fired, and the judges were taken to the hospital.

Vazquez and Kaiser are facing charges as of June 28. 

Vazquez is charged with two counts of battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, two counts of battery resulting in bodily injury, two counts of battery, and disorderly conduct.

Kaiser is charged with two counts of aggravated battery use when the assault possess a substantial risk of death, two counts of aggravated battery use when results in loss or impairment of a bodily function, two counts of battery by means of a deadly weapon, two counts of battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, two counts of battery resulting in bodily injury, carrying a handgun without a license, two counts of battery and disorderly conduct. 

Adams, Vazquez and Kaiser were charged after grand juries returned a bill of indictment. 

A grand jury did not indict Judge Bradley Jacobs in this case.
