CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) – The receding flood waters off Blackiston Mill Road revealed a disturbing find Friday morning. The body of Joseph Turner was found just beyond this fence line, a few hundred feet from Paula Libretto's Clarksville home.

"It happened right in our backyard. He's our neighbor," she said of Turner.

She knew of Turner, who would often ride his bike around the neighborhood. She's dealing with her own loss. Her home was also a victim of the flooding. "A lot more devastating than you see on TV," she told WHAS11.

She gave us a tour of what the water took and left behind. She'll know by next week if the costs to repair the damage exceeds the value of her home. Starting over is an option, but it's one she hasn't thought about.

"I am numb. Honestly, I don't know yet," she said of her future.

She lives next to her sister and mom who also were evacuated and face the same, uncertain future. Grief is now becoming more apparent just as the floodwaters begin to fade.

"It's hit us all," she said.

Turner's autopsy is scheduled for Saturday.
