LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A suspect has been flown to University Hospital following an officer-involved shooting in Hardin County Thursday.
Authorities say the incident happened just before 6 p.m. on Bacon Creek Road near KY 222.
Kentucky State Police say Hardin County authorities were trying to pull over a man for reckless driving and during that incident, shots were fired. Police say they are still trying to determine how that happened.
The suspect was airlifted to the hospital and was listed in serious condition. His name has not yet been released. That man is currently in serious condition at University Hospital.
The deputy is on paid administrative leave per department policy.
KSP will handle the investigation.
