LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS 11)--"We prayed for a miracle. God gave us two."
Good Morning Kentuckiana's Brooke Hasch ended Monday's show with a surprise announcement about a bump in the road that's only expected to get bigger over the next few months.
Brooke told her viewers she and her husband, Mike, are expecting twins sometime before Christmas.
"The actual due date is Christmas Eve, but with two, it's more likely we'll be having them closer to Thanksgiving," Brooke smiled.
That's two cribs. Two high chairs. Two car seats! Brooke says the year-long wait was worth it when she finally learned of the pregnancy. Seeing the ultrasound a few weeks later was a double whammy.
"My husband and I were shocked! There are no twins on either side of the family. We both laughed out loud when we heard the words, and in unison, said, 'you're joking, right?,' before the doctor very clearly said, 'no, I'm very serious.' I couldn't stop laughing," Brooke said.
