LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) — One house in West Louisville was destroyed and two others were heavily damaged after a fire broke out early Wednesday morning.
Crews responded to a residential structure fire in the 2300 block of St. Louis Ave. around 3 a.m. on Wednesday. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy fire coming from a single-story house. The fire had also extended to houses on either side.
The crews on scene extinguished the blaze in 23 minutes and no injuries of firefighters or civilians were reported. One family that was displaced is receiving assistance from the Red Cross. The fire destroyed one house completely and caused significant damage to the others.
Investigators are working to determine the cause.
