Asia Ford finishes Papa John's 10 miler, providing more inspiration for Lou.

Mayor Greg Fischer, Terry Meiners and her personal trainer Chris Vaughn helped her cross the finish line.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- It was a picture that touched off the media storm surrounding Asia Ford--when Police Lt. Aubrey Gregory extended his hand to Asia--to help her finish the Rodes City Run.

She was there again this past Saturday at the Papa John's 10 miler.

Mayor Greg Fischer, Terry Meiners and her personal trainer Chris Vaughn helped her cross the finish line.

Asia made the decision two years ago to change her life so she could be around for her children. She weighed 474 pounds then and she's now at 217.

She is making changes one race at a time and finishing them, which is what counts.

Asia works out with Vaughn at Aspirations Gym most days of the week. It's a supportive environment with plenty of folks cheering her on.

An entire city is proud of her--cheering her on.

Asia is providing inspiration for others on a similar journey to a healthier life.
