LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky restaurants and retail stores can reopen this week under Gov. Beshear's Healthy at Work reopening plan.
While restaurants cannot fully reopen, the governor's guidelines allow for unlimited outdoor seating with proper spacing. Louisville restaurants will be allowed to expand their outdoors seating to sidewalks and parking lots.
Here is a full list of what will reopen in Kentucky this week:
Monday, May 18
- Government offices and agencies: No more than 50% of employees can be physically present on any given day at agencies with office-based work. This does not include all offices, as some have later target dates. The plan does not clarify which will reopen at this time.
Wednesday, May 20
Friday, May 22
- Restaurants: Party sizes must be limited to 10 or fewer people. Parties must be able to maintain six feet of space between each other. Indoor capacity should be at 33%, while outdoor seating can be unlimited as long as spacing requirements are met.
- Groups of 10 or fewer: The governor's office recommends holding a gathering outside when possible, never sharing items and wearing a mask if close to someone outside your household.
In the last week of May, person service businesses like nail and hair salons will begin to reopen.
