Applications for financial help through the Team Kentucky Fund now available

Vouchers obtained through the fund can be used to help with rent, utility bills, groceries and more for people who have been affected by COVID-19.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Application Portal for the Team Kentucky Fund is now open. The fund aims to help Kentucky residents who have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lieutenant Governor Coleman announced the opening of the portal during Gov. Andy Beshear's briefing Thursday evening. The fund, which is overseen by the Public Protection Cabinet and is administered through a partnership with the Kentucky Community Action Agency, provides financial assistance to Kentucky residents in the form of vouchers.

These vouchers are worth up to $1,000 and can help pay for things like rent, utility bills and groceries. The Team Kentucky Fund currently has around $3 million, thanks to donations from local businesses and residents.

"This amount has been raised through the generosity of businesses and members of Team Kentucky," Lt. Gov. Coleman said. "Thank you. What you have done to support your fellow Kentuckians is truly special."

The Kentucky Community Action Agency will review all applications. Applicants must include their proof of employment, proof of income and must be able to show that they have been negatively impacted financially by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Applications for the Team Kentucky Fund can be completed online
