3 dead in Bullitt County multi-car crash, police say

The Shepherdsville Police Department said a car carrying three people failed to stop at a stop sign and was then struck by two other cars.

BULLITT COUNTY, Ky. — According to a press release from the Shepherdsville Police Department, police are investigating a multi-car crash that left three people dead. 

The crash happened around 10 a.m. Thursday. SPD's preliminary investigation reveals a Honda Civic, with three people in the car, failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of KY480 and KY61. The Civic was then struck by two other cars.

Two passengers of the Civic were pronounced dead on the scene and a third succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. No other injuries were reported, the press release says.  

KY61 was shut down for several hours as officers completed their investigation Thursday.

The identities of the victims have not been made available at this time.
