IDSH released the latest number of positive cases in the state. There are now 1514 positive cases and 32 deaths throughout the state. Up 290 cases since March 28.
Saturday, March 28
10 a.m.
IDSH released the latest number of positive cases in the state. There are now 1,232 positive cases and 31 deaths throughout the state. Up 251 cases since yesterday, March 27.
Friday, March 27
2:30 p.m.
Governor Eric J. Holcomb announced offenders at the Miami Correctional Facility are producing face masks, personal protection gowns, face shields and hand sanitizer to be used in the fight against COVID-19.
The Indiana National Guard is being deployed to six food banks across the state to help sort and pack food for distribution to food pantries. The food banks are in Marion County (2), Bloomington, Lafayette, Fort Wayne and Merrillville.
The Indiana National Guard will also work at mobile food distribution sites across the state.
Clarksville, IN Parks and Recreation Department has made the decision to add additional closings within our parks system.
Wooded View Golf Course is closed to the public until further notice. While we intended to keep the course open and available to the public, we had several reports of our visitors not following social distancing guidelines. Since the health and well-being of our guests is our top priority, we feel it is best to close.
All sports courts and facilities within the Clarksville Parks District are closed until further notice. All bathroom facilities within the parks are closed, and all port-o-cans within the parks are being removed. Clarksville Parks Officers will be patrolling the parks to enforce the closures as needed.
All trails and walking paths will remain open for those wishing to walk or run, but we ask that visitors please remember to keep their distance from others, and avoid large gatherings.
11 a.m.
IDSH released the latest number of positive cases in the state. There are now 981 positive cases and 24 deaths throughout the state. Up 336 cases since yesterday, March 26.
The deaths were reported in five counties:
- Dearborn — 1
- Hendricks — 2
- Madison — 1
- Marion — 2 (total at 8)
- St. Joseph — 1
2,285 more people were tested for coronavirus on Monday, bringing the overall total to 6,936.
Thursday, March 26
10 a.m.
IDSH released the latest number of positive cases in the state. There are now 645 positive cases and 17 deaths throughout the state. Up 168 cases since yesterday, March 25.
9 a.m.
63 employees at the Schneck Medical Center in Seymour have been placed on a 14-day quarantine after coming in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.
This is the first confirmed case of COVID-19 in Jackson County.
A Schneck spokesperson said the medical center is not experiencing any staffing shortages at this time.
Due to the reduction of services including closure of outpatient clinics and postponement of elective surgeries, we are able to redeploy many of our team members to the affected areas.
