(USA TODAY) - Third time's the harm for Jimmy Kimmel.
For a few years now, the late-night talk show host has been the victim of a running prank: singers sneak into his bedroom and perform while he's sleeping. Rihanna turned his bedroom into a club in 2015; the following year, Britney Spears marched into his room with shirtless, male dancers.
"For whatever reason, I have become the victim of an unusual prank multiple times," Kimmel explained to Monday's audience, reminding them of his previous pranksters. "I thought that was that, but I guess this is a series now because the other night, yet another music superstar barged into my dreams. This time, I was the victim of a very loud, young woman named Miley Cyrus."
In footage of the lark, Cyrus can be seen donning a hard hat and neon orange vest, in theme with her 2013 song Wrecking Ball.
“I'm coming in like a wrecking ball just for you, Jimmy," she told the camera, hoisting her sledgehammer in the air.
"Wakey, wakey. Guess who it is, Jimmy!" she said taunting him. "Good morning."
As the song played, Cyrus hopped onto the comedian's bed, singing and slinging the tool around.
"You got me right in the (testicles)," Kimmel informed her. But it seems there are no hard feelings between the two. Before Cyrus left, they ended up hugging it out, Kimmel's mouthguard, which he wears at night, still in place.
