LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) – Dates for the hearing on the appeal of the state takeover of JCPS are set.
The first formal hearing is scheduled for September 10 in Frankfort, Ky. So far 12 days of court dates have been set for this hearing, they all start at 9 a.m.
That's when the Jefferson County Board of Education will make its case against the state takeover.
This comes on the heels of interim Education Commissioner, Dr. Wayne Lewis recommending the state takeover of Kentucky's largest school district, JCPS, for at least a year.

September 10, 12, 20, 21, 24
October 1, 25, 26, 29, 30
November 1 and 2
