LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) -- The Louisville Metro Police Department is investigating a shooting that killed a woman late Monday evening.
The woman, who was identified as 29-year-old Samantha Ahearn, was shot in the 1100 block of 36th Street. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police said a man was brought to the University of Louisville Hospital not long after but his injuries were not serious.
Investigators believe the two are connected to the same shooting but have not said how.
