FRANKFORT, Ky. (WHAS 11)--Anwar Mohamed is charged with seeking sex with a minor after police arrested him in Frankfort.

Attorney General Andy Beshear and his cyber crimes unit say the Louisville man sent emails and texts to an undercover officer who was posing as a minor.

Investigators say Mohamed asked that officer to engage in sex acts and he then drove to Frankfort where he was arrested.

Mohamed told investigators that he is a Canadian citizen on a work visa for his medical research job at the University of Louisville.

He is being held in the Franklin County detention center.
