LEITCHFIELD, Ky — On Thursday, December 13, 2018, deputies at the Grayson County Sheriff's Office arrived at a residence near the 2600 block of St. Paul Road in the St. Paul community. This was due to a theft complaint in the area.

While investigating the complaint, police came by several truck parts that were identified as being stolen. These parts were later valued at over $70,000.

Deputies then stopped a car that was leaving the residence and arrested 50-year-old Eugene Haycraft for Driving on a DUI Suspended License. He was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methadone), Prescription Drugs Not In Proper Container and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Continuing their investigation, deputies then got a subsequent search warrant served on the residence revealed that the occupants, 43-year-old Michael S. Drake, and 39-year-old Heather Drake, had an indoor marijuana grow operation as well as several ounces of processed marijuana, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and guns.

Both were charged with Receiving Stolen Property over $10,000.00, Manufacturing Meth 2nd Offense, Cultivating Marijuana over 5 plants, Trafficking in Marijuana over 8 ounces, Possession of Controlled Substance (Meth), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Deputies also found that they were in possession of illegal wildlife parts. These parts will be turned over to the Department of Fish and Wildlife.

All of the suspects were taken to the Grayson County Detention Center. The Drakes are currently being held on $50,000.00 cash bonds while Haycraft is being held on $6,000 cash bonds.

The Grayson County Sheriff's Office says that more charges are likely to be added in these cases.
