LOUISVILLE, Ky. — An incarcerated man is in the hospital after reportedly getting into a fight inside the Louisville jail on Monday.
Maj. Jason Logsdon with the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections (LMDC) said staff were alerted to a fight between two men just before 11 a.m.
Investigators learned one of the men used a "fabricated weapon" to stab the other; the major said first responders took that man who was stabbed to the hospital where he is expected to survive.
Logsdon said they identified the other man involved in the fight and he's been separated from the rest.
The LMDC Professional Standards Unit is investigating.
