Man dead after shooting in Kroger parking lot, police say

Officers were called to the scene around 3:30 p.m. Sunday where they found a man who had been shot.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police said one man is dead after a shooting in the parking lot of the Kroger at 28th and Broadway.

Officers were called to the scene around 3:30 p.m. Sunday where they found a man who had been shot. He was transported to University of Louisville Hospital where he later died.

LMPD's homicide unit is investigating the shooting. There are currently no suspects.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to call police at 574-LMPD. You may remain anonymous.

Kroger closed its store and fuel center after the shooting. The store reopened at around 6 p.m. Sunday., and the fuel center is opening Monday morning.
